Bangalore's split identity
Bangalore's IT industry has put the city on the world map. It is also the city where India's pub culture was born. This should catapult it into the list of progressive Indian cities but incidents such as the Mangalore attack and other instances of moral policing in the state have proved that perhaps sections of society are not ready for change.
