Assam to Vaccinate 1.9 Lakh Health Workers At 65 Sites

With a dozen eminent doctors volunteering to take the first Covid vaccine shots at the Gauhati Medical college to dispel rumours, Assam and rest of the northeast is all set to be a part of one of the world's biggest Covid vaccination drives. In Assam, 65 vaccine sites are ready for the first phase. 1.9 lakh health workers would be given the vaccine in the first phase. Over 8 thousand vaccinators have been trained. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will attend the vaccine drive launch at the oldest medical college of northeast - the Assam medical college at Dibrugarh.
