Assam NRC's Fresh 'Ineligibles' Drive Aimed At Assembly Polls, Say Activists

The timing of the move by the National Registry of Citizens (NRC) authorities in Assam to delete thousands of names from the list published last year is being viewed with suspicion by many. They believe this order to delete "ineligible" names from among the ones originally approved in August 2019 is an electoral stunt.
