Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh held an all-party meeting last evening amid the Kuki-Meitei violence in the state. The Chief Minister also met representatives of civil society organisations and appealed to them to help bring normalcy in the state. Some 14 companies of security forces are deployed across Manipur and 20 more are being sent by the centre. The curfew was relaxed for three hours in violence-hit Manipur's Churachandpur district this morning to allow the people to buy essential items.
