Opposition leader and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti has lashed out at both the Centre and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, for the hanging of Afzal Guru. She said the move will create a wedge between Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of the country. Her party had appealed to the government to convert Afzal Guru's death sentence to life imprisonment.
