Polling figures remained low through the day in Delhi, ticking up to just 41.5 per cent till 3 pm. The corresponding figure in 2015 was 51.2 per cent. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal - who is facing challenge from the BJP -- has repeatedly appealed to voters to show up at the booths. The low turnout comes at the end of a bitter campaign in which poll rhetoric touched a new low.
