Abhishek Chamoli On How He Became A Javelin And Shot Put Para Player

Abhishek Chamoli was pillion-riding with his friend when the duo met with a serious road accident in New Delhi, in 2016. Overcoming his disability caused by spine injury, Mr Chamoli decided to make a fresh start in his life, by pursuing sports and drawing inspiration from Padma Shri Deepa Malik. Mr Chamoli has represented India in Men's Javelin Throw and Shot Put. He bagged the Bronze medal in Men's Javelin Asian Para Championships 2023.
