The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) election, defeating the BJP and ending its 15-year run in the civic body. "People of Delhi have rejected politics of falsehood and abuse. They have rewarded politics of Arvind Kejriwal, which is clean. People have voted for a pro-people party," AAP leader Raghav Chadha said. "The vote share in Delhi keeps on fluctuating. The point that I want to draw is that each election has its own flavour and temperature. However, I do say there is room for introspection...Even if the predictions are true, the AAP will be established as a national party. We are the fastest-growing political party independent Indian has ever seen. The bare minimum is six per cent in Gujarat," said Mr Chadha when asked for his takeaways from the MCD election results and his expectations from the Gujarat assembly election, for which votes will be counted tomorrow.
