Major controversy after the Principal of Mumbai's prestigious St Xavier's college sends an e-mail to students, asking them to choose well when they vote, while strongly criticising the Gujarat model of development. Was the Principal trying to influence students by criticising Mr Modi's model? As the head of an educational institution, should he have sent that mail at all? Or does he have the right to express his views? After all, the students will make up their own minds.
