"Tamil Nadu is the safest place for whoever comes. Unfortunately, politics spoil everything. In the digital era, there are lots of ways to verify things, unverified reports make a worse situation. It's a highly irresponsible thing. How can responsible media fall into such kind of a malicious campaign?" said Bharathi Thamizhan, Joint Secretary, Chennai Press Club, when being asked about what role media and others associated should play in creating a conducive atmosphere, amid the spread of fake news of attacks on migrant workers in Tamil Nadu.
