Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will get to keep his job despite gaining from an illegal decision by the then governor, the Supreme Court has ruled. The Supreme Court also ruled that the state government and not the Centre has the right over essential services in the national capital. In other words, the LG cannot stall administration, nor can bureaucrats say they don't report to elected MLAs.
