They may have been local elections, but the results of the Delhi civic polls have made headlines nationally for their larger political impact. The BJP swept the polls basing their campaign largely on the the scams and corruption that have plagued the Congress. Today, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit who herself campaigned extensively in these polls, said this was not her election and not a referendum, on her government. So why did the Congress lose?
