"The causality has to be established (about the deaths due to cough syrup). Our DGCI has written to the WHO. No reply has been sent. We did not find any toxic chemicals. Let's not jump the gun the way the WHO has," Karuna Gopal, BJP leader, said when asked to comment on the contentious matter of children's deaths allegedly due to cough syrup made in India.
