Former Union Secretary for Urban Development Sudhir Krishna said that water entering Delhi has to go out of the NCR as water will continue being released from Haryana as it can't hold the water beyond a limit. He adds that a series of reservoirs have to be built, existing water bodies have to be redeveloped to store water. He adds that the NCR Planning Board, which comes under the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, should be given a greater role in drainage management of Delhi.
