34 years on, two individuals have been sentenced for their role in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in which 3,000-odd people were butchered in Delhi in the wake of the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Is this justice at last after what many have argued for decades was a systemic effort at protecting those responsible for those horrific days? On the show tonight, HS Phoolka, who has been fighting this case for more than three decades, as we raise the larger issue of culpability and the alleged role of Congress leaders like Sajjan Kumar.
