Looms of Ladakh Women Cooperative works towards training unemployed women artisans from Ladakh to make knitted and woven woollen products. To make it more sustainable, Looms of Ladakh collaborated with USHA Silai School to make finished products out of the raw material. In another partnership between USHA and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the program will prepare 100 master trainers who will in turn train 3,000 women across India in life skills over three years. With addition of life skills training, Classical Silai School training module will be of nine days.
