Sri Lankan authorities issued shoot-on-sight orders on Tuesday to quell unrest that has seen buildings and vehicles set ablaze a day after the island was rocked by deadly violence and rioting. A man who gave logistics support to some suspects who fired a rocket-propelled grenade, or RPG, at an intelligence headquarters in Punjab's Mohali has been detained by the state police. Ten people, including five government officials, have been detained for taking bribe on behalf of non-profits for allegedly facilitating violations of rules in receiving foreign donations, sources in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said Monday after a big nationwide crackdown across 40 locations.
