AIIMS chief Dr Randeep Guleria says false negative for COVID-19 is possible, so symptomatic patients should go by clinical symptoms and assume they are positive and start treatment. AIIMS now has a COVID-19 suspect ward, he says, where suspected patients can be treated. Dr Guleria recommends that amid the surge, anyone who has symptoms or has an indicative CT or other lab reports indicative of Covid, should be admitted in a Covid centre and treated like a patient.
