Nepal Floods | Aussie Med Student Urges Tech Firms To Share Data To Find Missing Boyfriend

An Australian medical student whose boyfriend went missing with his family during the Nepal floods is urging tech and telecom companies to share location data that could help rescue teams narrow the search. Sarada Viswanathan, 23, says Apple and Optus denied requests for data citing privacy and security concerns, while relatives of another traveller reportedly obtained phone-signal information through Nepali authorities. As the search for thousands of missing people continues, Viswanathan fears critical delays could cost lives.
