Mullaperiyar Dam: Safety vs livelihood debate

Kerala and Tamil are engaged in an open battle over the Mullaperiyar dam. While Kerala says the 116-year-old structure, located in an earthquake prone area, is unsafe and can collapse any moment, Tamil Nadu has blamed it for allegedly creating "undue panic".
