Explosions and flames were seen over Tehran's skyline Saturday after fresh airstrikes on the Iranian capital. Several airstrikes hit neighborhoods in Tehran’s east and southwest Saturday night as Israel’s military confirmed a new wave of attacks. They came after U.S. President Donald Trump warned in a Truth Social post that more Iranian officials will be targets, saying, “Today Iran will be hit very hard!" Earlier Saturday the Israeli military said that it had struck a Tehran airport used to help transport weapons to militant groups that Iran supported across the Middle East. At least 1,230 people in Iran, more than 290 in Lebanon and around a dozen in Israel have been killed since the war began a week ago, according to officials in those countries.
