Manhattan Shooting | 4 People, Including NYPD Officer, Killed In Midtown Area

A deadly shooting rocked Midtown Manhattan Monday evening. Five people were shot-four of them killed, including an off-duty NYPD officer. The officer was a 36-year-old immigrant from Bangladesh and a three-year veteran of the force. The suspected gunman-27-year-old Shane Devon Tamura of Las Vegas-opened fire in the lobby of 345 Park Avenue, then moved to the 33rd floor. He was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Mayor Eric Adams called it a senseless act of violence and honored the officer's faith and service. This marks the 254th mass shooting in the U.S. this year. The investigation continues.
