Congress leader Nana Patole has suggested that like-minded political parties should consider coming together not just through electoral alliances, but through a formal merger. Patole also revealed that similar discussions had previously taken place with veteran leader Sharad Pawar, while clarifying that the Congress has not formally proposed a merger to any political party.
