Even as the Maharashtra government hangs by a thread, the state cabinet led by Uddhav Thackeray today approved renaming of Aurangabad to Sambhajinagar, in an apparent attempt to be seen as true heirs of the Maratha legacy. Sambhaji was the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji, the Maratha ruler after whom the party is named.
