Amid reports of a shortage of LPG after fuel shipments were disrupted through the Strait of Hormuz due to the war in West Asia, several cities across India witnessed panic buying. The Centre announced that customers using a single cylinder can book refills only after 25 days, up from the current 21 days. Those with two cylinders can book refills after 30 days. According to LPG dealers in Delhi, most people are unaware of this change, leading to confusion and frustration.
