He credited Gandhi for promoting youth within the party and cited his own rise from student politics to Parliament as an example. Parambil also defended protests by Youth Congress workers near the AI summit venue, saying peaceful dissent is a democratic right. Referring to protests during global events like the FIFA World Cup and G20 Summit meetings, he said demonstrations around major events are common and should not be criminalised.
