Senior Supreme Court advocate Kapil Sibal termed the Delhi excise policy case “fabricated” after a trial court discharged former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former deputy CM Manish Sisodia along with other accused. Speaking to NDTV’s Ashish Kumar Bhargava, Sibal alleged there was no money trail and accused agencies of misusing the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to target opposition leaders. He also welcomed the trial court’s direction for a departmental inquiry into the investigating officer, calling it a significant legal and political development.
