Japan to have short term impact on steel

C S Verma, Chairman of SAIL says hot rolling steel prices have dipped $25-30 per ton in the last 2-3 weeks on account of Japan's devastating quake. However, raw material prices have been rising, also demand from Japan is likely to go up so in the long term prices will moderate.
