ISRO and NASA formalised a deal in Bangalore on Tuesday for India to carry on board two US scientific instruments on India's 2008 mission to the moon. The unmanned mission, Chandrayaan-1 will also carry five Indian payloads and four European payloads, a clear proof of India's status in the field of space research. This visit of a NASA chief to India is the first in over 30 years.
