India and the United States are collaborating on NISAR, the world’s most expensive civilian Earth imaging satellite. Built jointly by NASA and ISRO, NISAR will launch from Sriharikota aboard India’s GSLV Mark 2. It promises to revolutionize climate monitoring, earthquake tracking, and glacial studies, saving lives and advancing global science. NDTV’s Science Editor Pallava Bagla caught up with ISRO Chairman Dr V Narayanan to understand the significance of this life saving mission.
