Iran has warned that it will no longer be bound by the interim peace agreement if the United States continues its military strikes. Speaking at the United Nations, Iran's Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani accused Washington of violating Iran's sovereignty and blamed both the US and Israel for escalating the conflict through attacks on Iranian territory and nuclear facilities. The envoy also defended Iran's nuclear programme as peaceful and under extensive IAEA monitoring, while urging the UN to safeguard security in the Strait of Hormuz. The warning comes after fresh US airstrikes, Iranian retaliatory attacks in the Gulf, and growing uncertainty over the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding aimed at ending the Iran war.
