Coronavirus has thrown the entire globe into the disarray and sporting events around the world have also taken a hit. After the deadly virus picked up pace in India, the BCCI postponed the start of the IPL 2020 from March 29 to April 15. Reacting to the suspension, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said it was done because for them the safety of players, fans and all those involved is the top priority. He also indicated that after April 15, there is a high possibility that the IPL 2020 will be a shortened tournament with less number of matches as compared to the original schedule.
