Bengal Gets A Woman Finance Minister On International Women's Day
On International Women's Day, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced Chandrima Bhattacharya will be the state's Finance Minister. Chandrima Bhattacharya was earlier Minister of State for Finance, and she has now been elevated. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made the announcement at the Trinamool Congress's State Committee meeting. Chandrima Bhattacharya spoke to NDTV after the appointment.
