Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar hoisted the National Flag at Bengaluru's Manekshaw Parade Ground as the state joined the nation in celebrating India's 80th Independence Day. The ceremony was part of nationwide Independence Day celebrations marking eight decades of India's freedom.
