President Donald Trump said Monday he will soon have "the honor of taking Cuba." "That'd be a good honor. That's a big honor," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. Trump has repeatedly said in recent weeks that his administration is in high-level talks with officials in Havana to pursue "a friendly takeover" of the country. He repeated those claims this month, telling conservative allies from Latin America at a summit in Miami that he would "take care" of Cuba once the war with Iran winds down. Asked by a reporter Monday what that operation would look like, Trump responded: "Can't tell you that." But then said he believed he'd be "taking Cuba in some form."
