Saudi Arabia says its air defences intercepted and destroyed a Houthi ballistic missile launched towards Riyadh, in the first air-raid alert in the capital since fighting escalated in July. Saudi authorities also said attempted attacks on Bisha, Taif, Farasan and Yanbu were thwarted. Residents reported explosions, while black smoke was seen near King Khalid International Airport. The Houthis claimed attacks on “sensitive” sites in Riyadh and an Aramco facility in Yanbu, saying missiles and drones were used. Saudi authorities reported no casualties or damage.
