Highlights of Save Our Tigers Telethon 2

This episode of the campaign shows us the highlights from second Save Our Tigers Telethon which was aired on July 15, 2012, from Ranthambore in Rajasthan. The show was hosted by our campaign ambassador Amitabh Bachchan. The biggest conservationists from India like Bittu Sahgal, Valmik Thapar, Belinda Wright, Anish Andheria etc joined us on one platform to urge the country to take up the cause of saving our tigers. The 12-hour telethon saw some magical musical performances by some of the country's biggest stars like Kailash Kher, Pankaj Udhas, Sunidhi Chauhan and Swanand Kirkire. "Defenders of the Wild" - A special award by Aircel and NDTV was given to some of the forest guards who have been fighting valiantly for the cause of the tiger for the second year. Mr Bachchan auctioned some of his most valued possessions to raise money for the campaign.
