Goa CM Orders Crackdown After Fire: Violating Restaurants To Lose Licences
After a devastating fire in Goa that killed 25 people, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant told NDTV that the government is launching a three-tier review of all restaurants, bars and similar establishments. He said a committee will conduct audits, and any outlet found violating safety norms will have its licence cancelled. The CM outlined three panels - a structural audit committee, an electrical audit committee, and an enforcement committee - to ensure compliance and prevent such tragedies in the future.
