Ghulam Ahmad Mir Welcomes J&K Poll Announcements, Says "Will Continue Fight To Restore Statehood"
Congress leader Ghulam Ahmad Mir welcomed the Election Commission of India's announcement that assembly polls in J&K will be held in 3 phases, with voting on September 18, September 25, and October 1. The counting of votes will be held on October 4.
Mir further said, "I welcome this. Even though it is late, at least a step has been taken. Today is a happy day for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
