German Envoy Speaks On Indians In Europe, H-1B Visas, Trump Tariffs
Dr Philipp Ackermann, German Ambassador to India, who spoke on US President Donald Trump's new curbs on H-1B visas and tariffs, said: "Our Indian community is not as big as the UK's, but it is growing. The Indians' salary is way more than the average German's salary. Migration is not an easy topic in Europe. But my government is clear: We need legal migrants - nurses, caregivers and bus drivers, not just IT experts."
