From Eid Celebrations To Election Talks, Voters Demand Healthcare Boost

Outside the historic Malik Deenar Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in India, locals in Kasaragod shared their views with NDTV on elections and development during Eid celebrations. Residents highlighted a major healthcare crisis, saying the district still lacks a proper government hospital and demanding an AIIMS-level facility. Many pointed out that they depend on nearby Mangaluru for treatment. While stressing that they seek development for all communities, voters acknowledged improvements in roads, connectivity, and railway infrastructure. Politically, many believe it remains a tough contest but see an edge for the UDF, with key constituencies like Manjeshwaram and Trikaripur expected to witness strong battles.
