"Friendship With US Can Be Fatal": Economist Jeffrey Sachs' Stark Warning To India

Economist Jeffrey Sachs has issued a strong warning to India, cautioning against closer alignment with the United States amid escalating global tensions. Speaking to NDTV, Sachs described US-led groupings like the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue as "dangerous," urging India to avoid what he called strategic "traps." He warned that countries aligning too closely with Donald Trump's policies risk being drawn into broader conflicts. Sachs instead called for India to work with major global powers such as China, Russia, and other emerging economies to stabilise the situation. He cautioned that the ongoing conflict could severely damage the global economy and lead to large-scale loss of life if not urgently contained.
