Parveena Ahangar has never been to a school but early this month, she participated in a discussion at Westminster University in London. It was part of a series of visits across the world, to share her struggle to find her son, who disappeared in the custody of security forces in Srinagar, 24-years ago. This is a story of an ordinary housewife who has achieved an international recognition as a human rights activists in Kashmir. Struggling with her own loss, she now represents the struggle of hapless parents whose kin have disappeared.
