Cyclone Amphan, which turned in to an extremely severe storm overnight, is likely to intensify further to a "super cyclone" in the next 12 hours, the weather office has said. Two states – West Bengal and Odisha - have been alerted over the storm, which is expected to make landfall in Bengal on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting today to take stock of the impending cyclone, which is expected to affect the east coast of India on Wednesday. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) DG Satya Pradhan speaks about the preparations to face the cyclone.
