Ghulam Nabi Azad, who quit the Congress last week, today slammed what he called "Rahul Gandhi's policy of attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi left, right and centre." Mr Azad shared what he believes is a key reason for the breach between the Congress's old guard and Rahul Gandhi - his "Chowkidar Chor Hai" slogan in the 2019 election, targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "We have been taught to respect opposition leaders. We have not been taught to say in public that "PM chor hai". Rahul Gandhi had once asked senior Congress leaders to raise their hands in support of the slogan "Chowkidar Chor hai," Mr Azad said.
