Congress MP Shashi Tharoor today defended his party colleague Rahul Gandhi's remarks that regional parties can't defeat the BJP. Mr Gandhi made the remark at the Congress's strategy camp in Rajasthan on Sunday. Mr Tharoor today said what Mr Gandhi meant was that regional parties by their very own nature tend to be limited geography, while the Congress has a national outlook.
