As Parliament meets for the last time on Thursday and MPs gear up to fight for their political survival, the country's national symbol the tiger is perhaps losing the battle for survival and the biggest challenge seems to be political will. For three months, a young tigress travelled more than 340 kilometers from the tiger reserve in Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh finally ending up at Faizabad. During the journey it attacked and killed livestock and even four people. On Tuesday, it was trapped near a village and shot dead.
