The mangrove saviours
In Mumbai, a group of morning walkers have turned into activists to save the mangrove cover in the suburb of Dahisar. Starting out with routine RTI queries the residents found that a builder who held the power of attorney for this 430 acre mangrove cover was dumping construction debris here to kill the green. Finally, the Supreme Court ordered the builder to remove the concrete.
