Droupadi Murmu, Rajnath Singh Witness IAF’s Firepower At Pokhran During Vayu Shakti 2026

The Indian Air Force showcased its combat readiness and multi-domain capabilities at Vayu Shakti 2026, held at the Pokhran range near the India-Pakistan border. President Droupadi Murmu and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attended the large-scale firepower demonstration featuring synchronised day-dusk-night operations. Fighter jets including Tejas, Rafale and Sukhoi-30MKI, along with transport aircraft, helicopters and advanced systems such as Akash, Spyder, SRLM and CUAS, validated precision strike capability and rapid response preparedness. The exercise also highlighted the IAF’s role in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, reaffirming airspace dominance and indigenous defence strength under the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and the success of Operation Sindoor.
