Connaught Place, or Rajiv Chowk, is one of the oldest and largest places for business and shopping in Delhi. It was named after the Duke of Connaught and constructed in the 1920s. Since then, it has gradually grown into a hub of activity, with people continuing to patronise the area inspite of the various other markets and malls that have sprung up across the city.
